Blazer love

There are a few things I can never have enough of.  Blazers, and jackets in general, are one of these things.  Apparently I have the same problem in rl as I found out today when looking for one.  Five black velvet blazers in a variety of cuts all stuffed in the winter closet with a couple of trenches, several courderoy coats and even a jean jacket.  Top any of them off with a great scarf and well, that shit is just comfy.

Is it winter already?

I turned my heater on for the first time this weekend.  Luckily, it's not as cold as other places as I despise cold feet.  I do however, love winter items like this great little hat and cozy sweater. Also, I loved this skin when I put it on, very well done with and without teeth option.  I am also wearing eyelashes that I linked myself from two different stores.  It was super difficult but I am trying it out to see how I like em.

**Also just a note about my pictures. I do edit small things, like fly away hairs or filling in some areas that are missing.  I do not however ever mess with the integrity of designer's skins or anything like that.  Of course lighting can change tone but I never edit any part of the skin.  I do want to point out that I fill in nails when needed.  They never photograph well and I use the color of the original nail to just fill it in so it's complete.  I guess I should look into those new realistic hands? Anyhoo, if there's ever a question as to what I've edited, feel free to ask! Thanks.**

 The basic concept is to take a picture of yourself wearing designers featured in the sim.  This should not be hard as there are so many great stores that I totally went broke preparing for this contest, and well just because I have a problem....a huge shopping problem.  Moving on...

I fell in love with this little dress and this tattoo is just wows.  I got the hair just today and it worked out perfectly.  Its a simple look but that's just how I like it.

This was one of my entries for the Glitterati Photo Contest that just ended.  I'm pretty sure I was chosen as one of the runners up but I can't be sure since I'm pretty much still in shock!  I had so much fun taking photos for this contest, it really made me want to improve after seeing such great work in all the entries.

Twin Hearts

Another quick post, my apologies.  I have been working on my photo entry for the Glitterati contest and it has been eating up alot of my sltime.  Between finding outfits that work with the theme to locations and editing pictures, it can take a while.  There are great prizes and I think it would just be cool to win, though I'm sure there will be tons of amazing submissions.  Check Glitterati in world for a notecard on all the details of entering.

That beings said, I would like to tell you about a little place called Yip.  You may or may not have heard of it, but when I found it, it was like finding buried treasure.  A little jewel nestled in some random sim where all the treasures are free.  four Yip, the creator (whom I've never met or talked to in world, I just love her shit) has the most creative imagination.  Creations range from poses, to props to clothes to complete set ups.  All free, all awesome.  Enough talking....

Simple sun girl

Just another quickie today as I have not been feeling well and just haven't had the time to SL.  I did however find this lovely sim full of good shopping and beautiful scenery.  The colors there and the sun beams are just lovely.  I will return to shop when I am full of Lindens and time.  As for the clothes, I have always loved this top from This is Fawn and Veschi was a fun find, I bought most of the store while there a while back.

The Girl Can't Help It...

Just a quick post to feature this fantastic skin from Miasnow that is currently on the mini mania board (goal is 5 people then it resets) that I heard about from *Free Style*.  I rushed over and got it and I'm so glad I did.  It's a gorgeous Dia de los Muertos skin and they also have a male version.  Get it while you can.  I love the detail on this skin and I bet it would look good on any shape.  I just wanted to feature the skin mostly since its so cool but of course all credits will follow.  This has officially helped get me into the Fall/Halloweeny spirit!

Broke and hunting...

Just a few pics of what I have found while out and about.  A few free things, some old things and some new-ish things.  I have also just finished The Seasons Hunt some of which is shown here.  I like to hunt when I'm linden broke.  It curbs the need to shop and helps me scope out things to buy in the future.  If you haven't heard about The Seasons Hunt, I highly recommend it.  Some great designers are involved, its well organized, not too terribly difficult and the prizes are great. I'm still going through them so more than likely, there will be more to come.

I was doing some shopping at The Starlust Motel and found the greatest photo boot ever.  It had such great poses and facial expressions.  They also have some great shopping over there.  When you tp in the booth is to the right a little ways down.  I had a lot of fun taking photos then turning them into head shots later.
